About

This page is dedicated to a bit more about my life story and my roots.

My STEM interests began in middle school. I attended MATHCOUNTS, placing 2nd in the nation.

Then, I attended Naperville North High School. At this time, I took a Java class, kickstarting my interest in programming. I began exploring the world of competitive programming through the USA Computing Olympiad. By sophomore year, I placed into the USACO Platinum division (top 300 in the nation).

While I was there, I participated in math competitions, qualifying for the USAMO 3 times (top 250 in the nation), placed 4th overall in the 2017 Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, and competed on my school’s NSML and ICTM math teams.

Now, I’ve been programming for 5 years, and my favorite languages to work with are Javascript and Python. My favorite aspects of programming are web development, computer vision, and deep learning, which is the focus of my current research.

In my last year of high school, I traveled to Boston to represent Team USA in the 2021 International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, winning a Gold Medal.

My other interests include physics and organic chemistry, and I participated in Science Bowl and Science Olympiad in high school. When I’m not studying, I like competing in Quizbowl, playing chess (check out my chess.com and lichess profiles), watching football and basketball, and exploring New York City.
